League of Legends: Wild Rift review

League of Legends: Wild Rift is the official mobile version of the beloved League of Legends. The game is based on the Unity engine, and it entered the open beta test in October 2020. Just like in the desktop version, the players are divided into two teams of 5 people and fight against each other on three lines. The final goal of the game is to destroy the enemy's base, but to do so is not easy - the way is blocked by defensive towers and enemy heroes.

League of Legends: Wild Rift is a little bit cut version of popular MOBA League of Legends, created especially for mobile devices and consoles. In general, the gameplay is not much different from the older version, but it has become much more dynamic.

Gameplay corresponds to the MOBA genre, namely, in the arena, there are two teams of five players, each of whom controls a unique game character, from the setting of this universe. Unlike the older version, battles do not exceed 20 minutes, the map is reduced, and control is adapted for touch screens.

The essence of the main game mode is to destroy the enemy base, the so-called "Nexus". Each team must defend this building, and at the same time trying to destroy the enemy. The main building can be protected by different towers, turrets that will help secure the area when the team goes to storm the enemy's base.

Fighters are called champions and there are a lot of them, each one has its unique skills, weapons, attacks, and, of course, appearance. In total, there are more than 40 pieces and all divided into classes, of which there are 6, namely:
1. tank. They have a large number of lives and a powerful defense against any attacks, but the damage is not more than the other classes. 
2. Mage. Have relatively low damage and life levels compared to the other classes. This is compensated by powerful magical attacks and a wide variety of unlockable skills.
3. Assassin. Combinations of attacks and skills can do incredible damage, to the point of annihilating a champion in seconds. 
4. Warrior. The most balanced class in terms of damage and defense. 
5. Support. The main assistant in the company can restore health, speed up movement, enhance attacks, increase mana, and more. 
6. Rifleman. The main class of champions for long-range attacks. 

All champions start equally from scratch and can pump up their skills as the battle progresses, unlocking new abilities. Despite the division into classes, most fighters have a few unique skills unique to them. To speed up pumping or unlocking new rewards, you can beat the in-game uncontrollable characters that peacefully roam the map.

Runes are a set of modifications that can be determined for your champion just before a battle. A total of several runes can be used at the same time, and they are also divided into categories.

The game is a classic representative of the MOBA genre, which combines tactical action battles, role-playing, and strategic elements. Emphasis is placed on the variety of characters, types of attacks, and skills of each of them. The game also has accurate, user-friendly controls and decent graphics.
